Workshops and Tasters
Inclusive, user-led sessions in art, music, filmmaking and event design—helping people explore ideas, develop skills and build confidence.
User-Led and Community-Driven
User led sessions span arts and crafts- music- drama- and script writing when funding permits. Activities are shaped through informal catch-ups where participants suggest and test ideas
Planning Together
Participants meet regularly to discuss ideas, review activities and help shape future workshops around their interests and ambitions.

One member first expressed an ambition to film and interview local people, explore their experiences and develop skills in camera work, questions, scripts and storytelling. He later went on to film the entire performances at our community event
From idea to action

Creative Workshops in Action
Our flexible taster sessions can include more than one creative activity. On this occasion, participants began with shared music-making before moving into arts and crafts, giving them the opportunity to explore different interests in one relaxed, social session.
Art and Music Tasters
We welcome all abilities, from complete beginners to those with more experience.

Film, Interviewing and Storytelling
Participants practised using cameras, preparing questions and sharing their experiences on screen. Discussions explored confidence, barriers and everyday life from their own perspectives.
Event Design and Practical Skills
Participants have also developed practical event-design skills through floral décor workshops delivered by Tama Ra Event Designers and through hands-on experience preparing community events.
Floral and Table Décor
Participants helped create floral displays and prepare the room for our Women’s History Month art workshop.

Balloon Decoration
Participants gained hands-on experience creating balloon displays for indoor and outdoor community events.
Volunteers developed table-dressing skills and used them to create welcoming spaces for community celebrations.
